Evaluation of “Preparedness and response support in water, sanitation and hygiene to Rohingya refugees and host community in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char (BGD 1045)” project.

The project "Preparedness and Response Support in WASH for Rohingya Refugees and Host Communities" improved water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char, addressing key issues like water scarcity, sanitation, and hygiene practices. It enhanced safety, accessibility, and gender-sensitive facilities, with strong community engagement and effective complaint mechanisms. The endline evaluation showed significant improvements in waste management, water access, and latrine safety, though challenges remained in menstrual hygiene and consistent handwashing practices. Mixed method research approach was employed for the assessment while quantitative data was collected from 418 sample and 28 qualitative data was collected.
