Capacity building needs assessment of Union Parishads in SHRC Project’s working areas of Cox’s Bazar District.

The Supporting Host and Rohingya Community (SHRC) project aimed to strengthen local capacity for conflict-sensitive services in Cox’s Bazar. Capacity building need assessment found that the Rohingya influx and COVID-19 disrupted service delivery, hindering legal services, conflict resolution, and social benefits. Citizens faced challenges accessing certifications and legal aid. Training needs of UP representatives in legal issues, program management, and disaster management are identified. Mixed method research approach was employed for the assessment while quantitative data was collected from sample 307 and 33 qualitative data was collected.
