Baseline Survey of Protect children from hazardous labour in Dried Fish and Metal factory Sector (Free Kids) and enlighten their future.

The baseline survey revealed that child labourers in Bangladesh’s Dried Fish Sector (DFS) and Metal Factory Sector (MFS) face significant socio-economic vulnerabilities, with low education rates, limited access to vocational training, and poor workplace conditions. Despite increased awareness and legal frameworks, discriminatory payment practices, hazardous work environments, and gender-specific challenges persist, highlighting the urgent need for targeted interventions. Mixed method research approach was employed for the assessment while quantitative data was collected from 476 sample and 16 qualitative data was collected.
