The baseline study for the ACCESS project highlights significant barriers to climate resilience, including limited adoption of climate-smart livelihoods, poor disaster preparedness, and inadequate access to water and WASH services. Key recommendations focus on enhancing local governance, strengthening disaster management, and improving access to climate-smart technologies and resources for vulnerable groups. Mixed method research approach was employed for the assessment while quantitative data was collected from 810 sample and 42 qualitative data was collected.
